St Peter’s CE Infant School and Nursery
Week beginning 21st June 2010
It has been a busy time in school the last couple of weeks with all the transition activities that have been planned. New Nursery children have had the opportunity to meet each other and some of the staff. Nursery children have visited their reception classroom with their parents and Year 2 has been up to the
Junior
School
. There are still other activities planned to ensure that all children are comfortable with the move to their next year group.
Year 2 Performance:
Congratulations to Year 2 for their fantastic ‘Being Green’ performance. Thank you to the parents that helped out on the trip and those of you that came to watch. The children really enjoyed the work they did and we were all very proud of them.
Life Education Bus:
On Monday 21st June and Tuesday 22nd June the Life Education Bus will be in school. There is a timetable where all classes will be given the opportunity to learn about topics related to ourselves. There will be a parents session on Monday 21st June - 8.50am to 9.20am for anyone who would like to attend.
World Cup day:
Thank you to all parents that brought in an item for our tombola stall. The children have had a great day with the activities the teachers have planned for them.
After School Activities:
The after school activity clubs will continue until the end of June. The last club will be on Thursday 1st July.
Citizen Advice:
There will be a session on Thursday 24th June 1:00pm – 3:00pm. The session is open all parents and will be covering money matters e.g. budgets, credit cards, debt.
This will be held at the
Juniors
School
and refreshments will be available. If you would like any more details please see Mrs Fletcher.

Summer Fair:
Please come and support the summer fair on Saturday 19th June from 2.00pm onwards.
Class Assemblies:
RM – Thursday 24th June at 9.00am
Closure Days Reminder:
July 15th and 16th - the school will be closed to children on these dates to enable staff at both the infant and Junior school to prepare for the opening of the new school.
